Yoga for the Special Child – Teacher Training Basic 1
The Yoga Nook in Glens Falls will host a Yoga for the Special Child Teacher Training, Basic 1 program, this summer from August 9-15. The program is appropriate for parents, teachers, and anyone interested in teaching yoga to children with special needs. The Basic 1 program covers ages 0 – 12, chronological or developmental age. The program is also seeking children to come in for a brief yoga session used as a demonstration of techniques for those attending the teacher training. Yoga for the Special Child®, is a comprehensive Program of Yoga techniques designed to enhance the natural development of children with special needs. Our style of Yoga is gentle and therapeutic – safe for babies and children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism and other developmental disabilities. These methods also provide an effective treatment for children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder, ADHD and Learning Disabilities.
