Farming on the Spectrum

UNYAA is proud to be a supporter of “Farming on the Spectrum”.  – Pat and his wife Susan have been blessed with three boys affected by autism. They deal with autism hourly, no hour is the same and each being a new adventure. Their homestead is comprised of a 101 acres located in Granville NY in the Adirondack Mountain region of Upstate New York. They are remotely located and sell our farm products in health food stores, local restaurants and thru our website, Our main crops are honey and maple syrup and the added value products of maple and honey.  www.unclepatsgeneralstore.com

They plan on starting on their farm to teach people with autism and people using wheelchairs how to be beekeepers. Their next phase will be chicken farming and gardening.

They can also use our help get funding for this project, they are using a crowdfunding platform. Please forward to your family and friends if you think they will be interested.  They will not be charging any fees for the classes.  Your help will be greatly appreciated.
